UNUSUAL LARGE GILTWOOD STARBURST
This delightful carved and gilt starburst mirror was found in Italy and likely dates from the late 19th century. It features a diminutive center with an exaggerated double ring of rays and the aged patina has marvelous depth from where the red boule clay is visible beneath the gilt surface.

Kindly note: This is an old, rustic piece; some wear and losses to gilt and gesso decoration. Some rays are loose, but all still well-attached.
