VERANDA 2024 Art Trends
For 2024, industry experts predict that collectors will lean toward taking more considered risks, opting for artworks that are bold in both personality and subject matter. Audra Kiewiet de Jonge, founder of Art/artefact, explains that collectors today want their art to evoke feelings of wonder and discovery.
She says, "I think more than trends specifically, people are embracing the thrill and marvel of collecting unique and special objects and art across categories and periods. A sort of Wunderkabinett (cabinet of curiosities) approach that feels at once historical and thrillingly fresh and new."

A reimagined guest experience even more aligned with Opus One’s luxe vintages. And, before wine tasting among pieces from the Rothschilds’ art collection can begin, guests are now welcomed by a monumental five-panel installation by Rosalind Tallmadge that luminously dresses the walls of the entrance rotunda. “Her work has direct connections to nature in the organic materials of marble dust, mica stone and gold leaf while also celebrating the power of the human hand to leave a mark,” shares art consultant Audra Kiewiet de Jonge, the mind behind the serendipitous match. “It embodies the Opus One ethos.”

Audra
Audra Kiewiet de Jonge guides her interior design practice with an art-first approach built upon years in the art world and formal training as a painter. Her work carries the hallmark of an eye attuned to the exceptional and unexpected with an approachability that feels fresh and unencumbered.
At the root of Audra’s work is the concept of value, and creating lived environments for the pieces that hold value in our life — whether a child’s finger painting or one by Cy Twombly. Previously Audra has held positions with Galería OMR in Mexico City, with Kate Brodsky of KRB in New York, and Maja Smith of Found by Maja in San Francisco.
