An intriguing antique French “La Mode” diorama with hand painted gouache figure and scene embellished with applied silk and linen fabrics. The lady is elegantly dressed for travel in an 18th century jacket and skirt with black flask tied to her hip. A walking stick and crossbody bag complete her peripatetic lewk. Her hair is worn low in a ponytail, a style unusual for a lady of her day and station.

Unsigned. A time capsule with original glazing featuring beautiful waved antique plate glass. Verso bears hand marbled backing paper and the label of a Parisian frame and cabinet maker.

Dimensions: H10 7/8 x W9 1/4 inches (overall)

Sumptuously wrapped with care and includes a handwritten card with your message from the heart.

    If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, returns are accepted with receipt on eligible items for store credit within 14 days of delivery.
