These glasses by Portieux Vallerysthal blue opaline wine glasses are a rare example of French opaline glass from the 1930s. Semi-opaque opaline glass gained popularity in France, especially during Napoleon III's reign in the 1850s-60s. Portieux Vallerysthal, founded in 1836 and known for its cameo glass, later produced beautiful opaline pieces, including the blue-azure colored wine glasses
