FRENCH TERRACOTTA AMPHORA
A beautiful example of a late 19th c. rustic antique terracotta amphora, likely French. Decorated with a salt-glazed banded wave decoration in aloe green and white.
A truly elegant piece with fine balance and proportions. These urns were typically used to store olive oil, confit, or olives. Display it alone as an historical object, or use it for a magnificent floral display.

Kindly note: Exhibits chips to glaze at rim and some losses. Clay is free of structural cracks and appears sound. The interior is unglazed, and some sweating should be expected if used to hold water for a floral arrangement.

We value the history of objects and celebrate the visual evidence of patina that comes with pieces of age and provenance. All merchandise is sold in “as is” condition.
